How to add products to the supplier portal

Before commencing, ensure you have read the Supplier Handbook.

The portal enables Program Partners to:

  1. Add new products to the Toolbox
  2. Request changes to existing products
  3. Bulk upload products
  4. List available jobs
  5. Review recommended installation companies

Product Guidelines:

Before you start:
  • Variations: If one product has several variations, for example, a soil moisture probe with various lengths and pricing, then enter one product and email agtech@dpird.nsw.gov.au with the other variations, SKU numbers and prices.
  • Product Quantities: Any pricing for more than one product will need to be supplied by emailing agtech@dpird.nsw.gov.au. Add the product firstly, then email the other quantities and pricing. Eg: 1-100 $400, 101-200 $600
  • Product Images: Must be square PNG or Jpg files, min 800px x 800px, maximum 1200px x 1200px. Before uploading the image, name the image with the company name and then the product name. EG: Allflex dairy monitoring neck tag. Images incorrectly named will not be accepted.

Information required to add a product

Product Name: Concise name that explains your product. 256 character limit
Pricing: Listed price to exclude GST
Catalogue Number: This is the SKU number or product number used in your business for this product.
Product Description: 250-character limit. Concise description on what your product is and what it is used for.
Product Filtering: To assist producers source information in the online catalogue, an extensive filtering system applies. This enables farmers to filter information according to:

  • Product Name
  • Management Categories
  • Use Cases
  • Connectivity Type
  • Supplier Name
  • Installation Type
  • Power Source

Management Categories: All products must meet one or more of these management categories. Review Category Definitions.

  • Connectivity Solutions
  • Crop Monitoring
  • Dashboards
  • Software Solutions
  • Subscriptions
  • Water Monitoring
  • Weather Monitoring

Monitoring Categories:

What does the product monitor? These options are linked to the Management Categories.

  • Animal Monitoring - Electric Fence, Health, Movement and weight
  • Asset Monitoring - Assets, Fuel Tank, Gate and door, Other inputs, Silo, Site Security, Staff Safety
  • Crop Monitoring - Microclimate, Pest, Plant, Soil Moisture
  • Water Monitoring - Flow, Level, Pressure, Pump, Irrigation

Subscription Required: Does your product require a subscription? This is a yes/No field.
Installation Options: Can the farmer install this product themselves (self install) or is a supplier required to install the product (Supplier Install). There is the option to select both categories.
Energy Source: Choose one or multiple. Options include battery, solar and mains power.
Connectivity Type: What connectivity enables the product? Choose one or more options.
Comments| Variations: 250-character limit. This important section is to be used to highlight special requirements or alerts. Eg: Requires a subscription
Product URL: Each product must be listed on the supplier's website. Please provide the URL for the product page so we can link it directly to the supplier’s site for more information.
